OVERMANTLES

The arch top Overmantel mirror traditionally features feet at the bottom of the frame, which are placed directly onto a flat surface.  Usually positioned over mantelpieces or fireplaces, these mirrors also look good on console tables in hallways and bedrooms.  They have been popular since the beginning of the 19th century and feature either simple unadorned designs or quite ornate scrolls and florals carved on the top crown and at the feet
